Owner, Luc Forget, relocated to Stittsville in 2001.  Involved in hockey, soccer, ringette, and rugby, Luc and his family have been immersed in West Ottawa’s youth sports scene for many years.

Seeing the opportunity for a service oriented, community based sports store, Luc opened Rink-Pro Sports in 2003 with a modest 1000 square foot store on Stittsville Main Street.  The initial objective was to provide a local source of sports equipment and apparel for both young and old, with a special focus directed towards Youth, Teens and Women in team sports.

Since then, the clientele has expanded across the region, with some online shoppers reaching us from coast to coast.  A move in 2006 saw the store expand to 2400 square feet, now located in the Jackson Trails mall next to Giant Tiger and the Stittsville LCBO.  Still focused on the team sports Hockey, Ringette, Rugby, Lacrosse, and Football, Rink-Pro also carries gear for Broomball, Curling and even Field Hockey.  Skate sharpening, profiling and repairs make up part of our services, along with custom teamwear and apparel production, namebars, Jersey Numbering and other custom printing.

An on-site event sales division (Emphasis Sports Marketing) has also grown, selling souvenir merchandise and apparel at tournament events throughout the region and the province.

Rink-Pro Sports staff are all members of the local communities.  Many are high school, college or university students who choose to work part-time in the retail and events businesses see it as an added opportunity to receive valuable training and business experience while completing their education.

Rink-Pro Sports has been involved in a number of fund raising and sponsorship programs with many local groups, teams and organizations.  As a small business, with limited capital, our policy has always been to help groups help themselves, either in providing prize donations, or raising awareness with co-marketing programs.

Our primary goal is to support activities related to health, education, fitness and fun in our community, for all ages while exposing Rink-Pro Sports to the community through these partnerships.
